2911.7500 (the part in full):

“2911.7500 ELIMINATION OF CONDITIONS CONDUCIVE TO VERMIN AND PESTS. The facility shall have a written plan for the control and elimination of vermin and pests.”

Scope of chapter 2911:

“This chapter provides minimum standards for public and private correctional facilities throughout the state established and operated for the detention and confinement of persons detained or confined according to law except to the extent that they are inspected or licensed by other state regulating agencies.”

Related maintenance duty:

“The facility administrator or designee shall have policies and procedures designed to detect building and equipment deterioration, safety hazards, and unsanitary conditions.”

What It Means in Plain Language

1. A written plan, for control and elimination. The title aims at conditions conducive to vermin and pests; the text requires the plan.
2. No frequency and no provider. The plan sets both.
3. Pending revision. The Department’s chapter 2911 rulemaking was approved by the Court of Administrative Hearings in 2026. Both published drafts amend parts 2911.0100 to 2911.7100 and do not touch 2911.7500. Re-verify after the revised rule is published.
